Happy New Year! I hope your NYE was fun, memorable and safe. I welcome 2023 with all of the adventures it holds yet to discover. I won’t go down the “new year, new me” route but I’m excited. I have a good feeling about this year and I hope I’m right.
Welcome to Day 1 of Bloganuary! A new to me challenge I discovered in December. I took part in and successfully finished Nano Poblano, a daily writing challenge for November and was happy to hear of another opportunity to keep my writing muscles in shape, if they are in any shape. So here we go!
Today’s prompt is: “What do you want to achieve this year?” which is fitting for lots of us who take a look at our goals for the next 12 months. I’ve given this some thought so I’ll share a few ideas here.
- Getting in shape. Most of you probably know I had a hip replacement in late November and was in severe pain since the beginning of September. Because of that, any exercise for the last four months was impossible. Now I’m about 90% healed and can’t wait to get back to my activity level and goal weight. So that is my main priority this year.
- I’m kicking around the idea of pursuing education in my field of instructional design, be it a certificate or master’s degree. Likely not something I’ll complete in the next year, but getting started in this direction would be an a accomplishment.
- Getting my legal ducks in a row, such as all the proper financial and medical directives.
I can think of other things but I’d consider these the milestones for 2023. If I can check these off my list, I’ll call it a success.
What are you planning to achieve in 2023?
Whoa this is the first I’m hearing of NaNoPoblano! Sounds cool! Good luck with Bloganuary this year too 🙂 This is my first go round.
Thank you, good luck to you too! My first time too. Hope you join us this November for Nano Poblano!
Love this Kathleen! Let me know where you’ll need any support!
What I’m planning to achieve in 2023? Publishing new authors and … new love!
Thank you! I’m excited for you! I have a good feeling about 2023..
Wow! That’s exciting that you are already 90% healed. There’s quite a lot for me I want to achieve, but mainly I want to downsize my belonging and live a more minimalistic life, and I hope to connect more with others through hobbies. I feel like I lost a lot of connections throughout the pandemic, just as everyone was going through it. It would be nice to start meeting people again.

Hi Nadiene! I’m happy you stopped by! I too want to minimize this year, in fact I have a donation pick up scheduled this week so I need to fill some boxes. 🙂 That’s what I love about blogging is meeting folks from all over the WORLD, let alone all over the country. Thank you for reading!
