Day 3 of NaBloPoMo. It’s the DSFWeeklyRewind! What’s been on your playlist?
Halloween is over and I’m basking in orange and purple afterglow. We danced to my Oingo Boingo favorite as the sparks flew from the fire pit and the star shower lit up the trees a sparkly green, me in my feathery witches hat and Bill with his creepy baby mask. The rain held off, but it was cold. When we decided to pack it in after about 20 goblins, I put in the movie Halloween, a yearly tradition. Bill turned in early and went upstairs and I stayed to finish my favorite Halloween flick.
He then called down the stairs: “Did you leave the toilet seat up?”
Um. NO.
And there hasn’t been a time in the 15 years we’ve been together that he’s left it up. (Talk about courtesy!)
Now I’m a bit freaked. He checked all the rooms but turned up what we expected. It was just the two of us. I abandoned the movie and went upstairs to bed, no longer in the mood for scares! I’ve had my share of Halloween tricks this year.
“Don’t run away, it’s only me… don’t be a afraid of what you can’t see…. “
So on to November! NaBloPoMo started November 1st and I decided to once again participate. Which will require some serious time management as I also need to finish four more books to reach my Goodreads goal. And study for the CBAP. And work on stock photography. Nothing like working under pressure. With camping season being over (crying) our weekends are freed up, but outdoor yard work will soon take up that time as well. Sigh.
DST is this Sunday which begins my least favorite time of year, dark leaving for work, dark returning from work, cold, and very often, rainy. Ugh. I wish I could just hibernate until spring. BUT, the winter solstice will be here before we know it, when the days start to become longer again.
GRATITUDE
I would like to send a HUGE thank you to Amie over at AmieWrites for introducing me to Lore, a deliciously creepy podcast! I finally downloaded a podcast app on my mp3 player (hey, welcome to 2004, it’s about time!) and my morning and afternoon commutes are so much more bearable! Thank you!

What have you been up to? Join us over at Daisy Smiley Face for the #DSFWeeklyRewind! Here’s the scoop..
You have a ghost! Agh! I’m not much of a scary things-type person. You’re a brave soul. I’m sorry you have to endure the darkness for my favorite time of year. 🙂 Don’t worry — your abundant sunshine/long days will be back before you know it (sigh).
Have a great week!

I am going to have to second the “you have a ghost” comment. It’s a rather inconsiderate ghost, too. At least it sounds like you had a great Halloween, even with the added creepiness. I am going to have to check out Lore as well. It sounds really interesting.
Ah, I knew you would love Lore! It is awesome. It has made my commutes infinitely better.
Well, your ghost is obviously a man… leaving the seat up, how rude!
Good luck with NaBloPoMo! Have a great week!
