Yep, no fun. This week I’ve battled congestion and a nagging, never ending cough, my least favorite souvenir from Florida. My sister was just getting over it when I arrived, and I doubled up on my immune booster supplements, but they were no match. My only concern now is that I come down with something else right before my surgery. I’m sure I’ll kick this by then, but I CAN’T get sick again with something else. I’ve been waiting since early October to get this over with, as the pain is just getting worse.

We finally have some mild temps here in Southeast Michigan, today I think it was 39 (heat wave!) and I forced myself out of the house. Coupled with my 30% off coupon and my gift cards from Christmas, I bought 3 sweaters, 4 blouses and 4 pairs of tights for $12 at Kohls! Tonight I’ll also work on gathering pics for a 2018 calendar – Shutterfly puts offers in with your Kohls charge statements for free stuff – this time it’s a free calendar!

Today is the last day I’ll sleep in until February 3rd. 🙁 Next weekend I’ll be in class Saturday and Sunday for Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training. I’m anxious to see what the class entails and get through it. Next I’ll be sitting for Black Belt training but that will be later this year once I’m back to work.

I finished Heart Shaped Box (OMG, AWESOME!) and I’m on to In A Dark, Dark Wood. Loving it so far! What are you reading?

GRATITUDE
I’m so glad for my drama free life. I’ve thought of this often throughout the years. Everyone hits bumps in the road but I really have nothing to complain about. Most of my life is normal and boring and I hope the rest of my years remain this way.

So! How was your week?

  1. I’m sorry you haven’t been feeling well. I’ve spent most of Saturday sneezing and blowing my nose. I believe I’m allergic to football. People really are excited in Philadelphia. I’m rooting for the Vikings. 🙂

You can seriously buy a ton o’ stuff at Kohl’s on a sale and with Kohl’s cash, can’t ya? I love that place.

Hope you feel better soon and that you have a great week! Green belt… sounds exciting!

Thanks for participating in #DSFWeeklyRewind again. I’m grateful for the drama-free days, too.

  2. being ill with a ticking clock is not good, my recommendation is Barocca……and a hot toddy! Not together mind. I’m reading The Humans – Matt Haig. trying to finish it this week as I have a trip coming up and hate being through a book that I might finish needing to take two books!
