Welcome back to the Weekly Rewind! Thanks for stopping in. Above is a throwback to about 2009ish, my very early generation iPod Touch with my portable speaker. The music I have on it will be kept there for the rest of eternity, however. Since I am Team Android, I have no new Apple adapter, plus this model is so old it’s no longer upgradeable and won’t connect to iTunes. But, as I scrolled through it, I found a ton of music I can add to my Napster account, songs I hadn’t listened to in years. Down memory lane I will go!

I’m pretty happy that I got my Roku box working again by removing and reinstalling Netflix.  I’m watching a movie called Bedeviled that is pretty good so far. The name cracks me up for two reasons – one, it reminds me of Bedazzled, in which Brendan Fraser was absolutely HILARIOUS. Second, I think I’ve found a new name for Halloween themed (be)deviled eggs!  Hahaha..

Saturday we attended the 58th Annual Big Brothers and Big Sisters Indoor Motorcycle Ice Race, always a fun time. Here is a clip of one of the heat races.

Staying in the Christmas spirit, we also watched How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Not the original, the one with Jim Carrey. It was pretty good!

GRATITUDE
In addition to working out the kinks with my Roku, I now have wireless earbuds again! A while back a purchased a set of Skullcandy Smokin Buds 2 (seriously, that’s what they’re called, LOL) bluetooth wireless earbuds for work (also over the top grateful they let us stream music!!!). They worked OK before we upgraded to Windows 10. I tried to connect them on Friday though, after the upgrade, with no dice. 🙁 Googled. Tried. Googled some more. Bluetooth scanning would not even find them, let alone pair. Finally found a comment stating to hold the power button down until the light flashes red and blue, alternately. After a few more tries, they were found! I got them paired and they work better than ever!  Before I used to have to take several steps each time to get them to work. Now, they connect and work flawlessly.  AND, I even testing walking to the restrooms with them on.  They blipped out at about 50 feet away, but when I was walking back to my cube, they picked up right back up again – this didn’t happen with Windows 7, I had to disconnect and reconnect every time I went out of range. So, YAY!!

I made an awesome Christmas playlist on Napster, AND, found Bob Seger!! His work was previously not available to stream.  Double YAY!

  1. Sounds like you are a lot more tech savy than I will ever be in spite of my attempts at it. I love that you’re renaming Deviled Eggs. Bedeviled Eggs just sounds so much more gourmet. 😀
