wpid-wp-1446671977630.jpegWell, I had no idea what I was going to write about today until I opened my mailbox. Here we go! The Christmas catalog frenzy begins. My first thought was, great, more fodder for the recycling bin. Then I realized, it’s been a while since I’ve done all my Christmas shopping online..  hmmmm. (flipping through pages..)

I’m a graduate of the University of Procrastination. Only one time in my entire life did I not only purchase gifts ahead of time, but early enough to ship them and not pay overnight charges. I hate crowds and the mayhem of a busy store or shopping mall. My goal each year is to get it all done and sip my eggnog by the fireplace while watching all the insanity on the evening news. And Black Friday?  HA!  Never have and never will.

So what’s your plan? Do you get it done early or are you a last minute shopper? I think I’ll aim to get it all done by December 1st. We’ll see what happens.

  1. Hey – we went to school together at U of Pro – and we have the same name (I shortened mine). An admirable goal you’ve set for yourself but I see that I’m already behind on the Christmas catalogs.

    1. Alum! LOL Thanks for reading.. Yes, if I go the catalog route, I still have to allow time for shipping. Really going to try to stay out of the stores Christmas Eve.. 😉

  2. Wow! It’s as if you know me and my Christmas shopping habits. lately my husband has taken over a good portion of the shopping……Yea!!! For this I am very thankful…and our gifts get delivered in a timely manner!

  3. I have to be careful, because if I start too early, then I get too much. But if I wait too long, then I get really stressed out. Around now I start making lists of things I think my family would like, but I don’t start buying anything yet. I usually wait until early December to start making purchases. That is what has worked for me in the past.
