Day 8 of NaBloPoMo. Again not following the prompt. Some things don’t apply and other topics I’m just not going to share publicly. So here goes.
Here are just some random thoughts for today’s post, it won’t be political, as nothing I’ve shared this year really has been. I will say I’m amazed at the behavior I’ve seen, though, and how it’s divided us. We exercised our right to vote today, after paying attention all year to our choices. I don’t know if I’ll even stay up to watch the results tonight, I’m not into that kind of anxiety.
I had today off, thanks to my awesome employer. I got to enjoy sleeping in, sipping coffee while working on my blog on this dreary November Tuesday, and got to have lunch with a dear friend at a popular mexican restaurant for a her belated birthday.
The server saw her gift bag at the end of our meal and offered her a shot of tequila or an ice cream sundae, which she opted for. Several minutes later, out came the clapping staff with a sombrero which they planted on her head. Hahaha. After catching up (it had been a while) we parted ways and I waited for Bill to get home so we could head to our precinct.
We were in and out with no issues. Dinner, Longmire (last two episodes! sniff) and we’ll wake up tomorrow to find out our future. I’ve really quite had enough of the coverage. We’ve done what we can do.
God help us.
