Halloween night is here, the rainy grand finale of all the month-long hoopla. Four kids came to my door and I’m again left with much leftover candy. My cat expressed her disappointment by puking in the front doorway. Happy Halloween!
It’s okay. The Monster Bacon Meatloaf was wonderful, we watched the Great Pumpkin and will finish out the night watching the numerous ghost adventure shows, waiting for any stragglers to come to the door.
It’s occurred to me lately that “haunted” goes beyond Halloween and ghosts. At least for me. Over the years, I seem to be “haunted” at one time or another by the personas of those from my past. New people I meet are copies of those I’ve known. The names and faces are different, but the personalities, mannerisms, behaviors…. It’s like the ghosts of the past making their way back into my present life.
And why some and not others? It’s like the lesson that keeps appearing until you’ve mastered it.

Yes and I just need some sage to kick those ghosts out on there see-through asses lol.
