Once again, the road to Hell is paved with good intentions. I knew it had been accumulating, but I thought my Saved items were closer to 1,000, still an insane number. Over 2,000 interesting things I’ve come across and saved, but have not yet read. And that’s just Facebook. Why do I do this?
Scanning through social media happens, for me, in very short bursts, (well, at least on my phone, LOL) rarely long enough to really read through an article of interest. So it gets bookmarked. And subsequently, in my case, forgotten. Not forgotten entirely, but 2336 saved items says that I’ve not gone back and read any of them. Again, good intentions.
I feel like I have to actually schedule time to read and archive all of these saved articles I’ve been hoarding. Not only schedule time, but lock myself in a room until a set number have been read.
Sigh. Does anyone else do this? How do you process the daily onslaught of information?
