Guys.

I finally received my first Nocturnal Reader’s Box (NRB) and I’m floored!

Those of you that know me know that I’m pretty much all about scary, creepy books and movies. I’ve read just about all of Stephen King’s novels and thanks to some recent fellow Instagrammers, I’ve been introduced to more authors that now flood my TBR list. Instagram is how I found the NRB.  Thank you Johann!  (jobis89)

The only downside is that I waited what seemed like an ETERNITY to get it. Not anyone’s fault, it’s just how it works – when you subscribe, you get the next month’s box. I subscribed February 4th so March was my first box, shipping the first week of the month. Then the email with my tracking number got caught in my spam filter so for a few days I didn’t know if it had shipped or not. Once I got that sorted out I signed up for text notifications from USPS so I could anxiously track its whereabouts, which weren’t updated very often – OMG!!!!!!  Over a month of nail biting but it’s finally here!   Hehehe…

So.  (ripping into the box..)

Here is everything in all it’s awesomeness!!

And in detail:

A mug memorializing Jack Ketchum, an author who recently passed..

A Dracula tote bag!  Everyone was talking about their Dracula t-shirts on Instagram and I had wondered why I’d gotten a tote bag – until I checked my order profile!  Duh… You can choose between shirts or totes!  Having a plethora of t-shirts, I’d chosen a tote bag.

Books!  Every box comes with two books – some are signed!    This month it was The Fury and The Gone World.  I’m looking forward to reading The Fury. I remember the movie vaguely from my childhood, kind of like Burnt Offerings and The Changeling..  Not sure about The Gone World, it doesn’t sound like my type of genre, but I’ll give it a whirl.

A wooden pin!  I’ve heard lots of good things about this book, The King in Yellow by Robert Chambers.

A bookmark and stickers – Long Days and Pleasant Nights from The Gunslinger and All Hail the Crimson King from The Dark Tower series.  The bookmark is from The Elementals by Michael McDowell.

And lastly, a print from the Bill Hodges Trilogy by Stephen King (Mr. Mercedes, Finders Keepers, End of Watch) which I have yet to read!

I’m geeked!  They had extra December boxes so I ordered one of those too!

Sound cool?  Check out their site for all the deets..
