Laughter is truly the best medicine, in so many ways. It breaks the tension, gets you out of a funk, lifts your spirits. A dear friend of mine from high school has embraced the power of humor and has carved her niche into this world, helping others by using humor. Even today, during a meeting, something came up that had my boss and I in tears laughing. Great moments. I want to bottle them all up and save them like a warm, sunny day.

So because I’m a documentation freak and love recorded history, I’ve decided to start a Lifelong Book of Humor, recording funny stories as life delivers them, whether they happen to me or someone I know. I like the thought of going through them on a bad day or a rough time, to lighten the mood, or years from now, digging back through the good memories and laughing about them again. It perpetuates happiness.

Will I post the stories here? Maybe. It will depend on if they’re fit for public consumption. Maybe they’ll end up in a book I write someday. All I know is I don’t want to forget them as the years go by, and who knows, perhaps they’ll brighten someone else’s day.

    1. Thanks! I also keep a notebook of the things when my husband and I misinterpret each other – the results are hilarious!
