By dawn, we should have the first snow of the season. Winter Storm Bella is making her way across the midwest, and should drop 2″ – 4″ of the white stuff by Saturday night, starting by dawn tomorrow.
I’m glad I have nowhere to go tomorrow and plenty of indoor things to do, it’s so nice to not have to be anywhere when the roads are a mess. Not like 2″ – 4″ is anything significant, but at the first snowfall of the year, everyone drives like the world is coming to an end. Crap, I forgot to stock up on bread and milk!
On a positive note, our sleds are ready to go, aside from registration and trail permits. No mechanical issues, they both fired up and are now sitting on the trailer patiently waiting. I hope it’s a good year to make up for years past, when either work or weather prevented us from going.
How about you? Are you in the storm’s path or lucky to be south of everything?
I’m glad we got home from traveling when we did. I’ll take flying with a fever and the chills over flying into that storm. We do still need food.
