It boggles my mind sometimes when I think of the pure magnitude of information constantly being curated, published and streamed out there in the ether, waiting to be sucked down in our billions of devices. In addition to keeping up with the books I want to read, this surge of information on a daily basis that I constantly bookmark is enough to make me dizzy.

In addition to my favorite mags, social media is my primary source of news, and luckily, there are ways to bookmark information to read later:

  • Facebook – I love, love LOVE that you can now save links to read later. Today I checked it and I have 1125 unread that I’ve saved. OMG.
  • Twitter – Favorites. Same idea. Favorite a tweet you want to save and you again have a list of content to go back to later. (Favoriting a tweet is also similar to “liking” a post on Facebook. The author is notified when you do. If you like a tweet, favorite it!) Speaking of which, yesterday was Twitter’s 9th birthday!
  • Pulse – Last but not least, Pulse is a separate app, integrated with LinkedIn that captures and holds articles that fit the areas of interest and authors that you choose.

So now having captured a large amount of info, my issue is carving out time to go back and read through it all. Of course.  That’s a work in progress and a whole other blog post!

How about you?  Where do you get your info?  How do you capture it? What is your process of keeping up with it all?  Would love to hear your feedback in the comments.

In the meantime, I have some reading to catch up on.

        1. Absolutely! I’m really liking Feedly so far, recommended by a blogger friend. Easy way to follow new blog posts from your faves.. 🙂

  1. All of info get tagged ‘Saved For Later’ in Feedly, my blog aggregator. There are things that have been in there for years… I guess I should be glad I was born in a modern age, otherwise my house would be full of newspapers and magazines.
