Good Morning fellow bloggers! Finally a nice day for patio coffee! Grab a chair, we can relax and catch up to the sound of my neighbor weed whipping. 🙂
How was your week? Mine ended with a gorgeous Friday in which I was able to work remotely here on the patio. It was HEAVEN. Then yesterday I went kayaking on a local lake and went on a a slight adventure, but that’s another blog post. Today I hope to get out paddling again, though it’s going to be cloudy and they are calling for rain around 7pm, though it looks like it will rain any minute!
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that this may be the year the plants in my yard come alive! My iris bloomed and it’s of the purple variety! The stems have grown so tall I need to get stick of some sort to prop them up.
And they’ve gotten huge! I need to research if they can be split and when. That also goes for my hostas and day lilies!
I also noticed that my blackberry bush is getting ready to flower. The leaves are bigger than ever this year and I think back to the twig that I planted in 2015!
We’ve had SO much rain in this region. My cilantro is growing nicely along with the grass in the wildflower garden. Bill schooled me on the fact that this is grass seed (remember, I have a black thumb).
So now I’m harvesting my own grass seed to sprinkle in the bare spots in my yard. Ha! I may just be able to partake in this gardening thing after all!
How are you on your coffee?
I am excited for the next episode of NOS4A2 on AMC! Supposedly you can binge watch them all from the website, but I’m pacing myself. I read the book by Joe Hill earlier this year and I’m loving the series so far! Have you?
Well, lots left to do this day, thanks so much for stopping by! I’ll be around to drop in on your coffee shares.. Join us at Eclectic Alli’s Weekend Coffee Share and tell us about your week!
Thanks so much for the coffee. I’ve been enjoying my porch with the sound of my neighbor putting in an in ground pool so the weeder doesn’t bother me at all. Your flowers are lovely! Not bad for someone with a black thumb! Personally, I have a brown thumb. It’s only one step up so most of my plants start to grow then turn brown soon after. 😊

Thank you for the coffee! Working from your porch sounds like heaven! Your garden is absolutely beautiful. It takes time and patience for a garden to grow into its full potential of beauty. Yours look great!
I just bought one of those irises—they’re so gorgeous! I didn’t realize you can reseed your lawn like that—we’ve been so busy that we haven’t mowed in a few days so maybe I can harvest some seeds!
