Months away has turned into two days before our trip out west.. How time flies. The list I’ve made and have been working off the last week is as follows.. And yes, it doesn’t all fit in a saddlebag.. I bought some nice luggage from Hot Leathers that I’ll discuss in another post..

- Small Binoculars
- Crank Radio
- Inverter
- Electrical Tape
- Zip Ties
- Knife
- Clothesline
- Jackets / Chaps
- Rain Gear
- Bandannas
- Clothes
- Toiletries / Medication
- Shower Flip Flops
- Camp Towels*
- Sunblock / Aloe Vera
- Baby Wipes*
- Collapsible Cooler Bag
- Phone Chargers
- Camera Battery Chargers
- GPS / Batteries
- Video Camera / Tapes
*I made our double sleeping bag out of several yards of fleece from the fabric store. Folded, sewed the bottom and sewed Velcro up one side. Rolls up much smaller than a traditional sleeping bag. In colder weather however, more warmth would be needed. Our overnight camping bike trips are typically during summer months when this is ideal.
*Our camp towels I purchased at REI years ago, Pack Towls, actually for backpacking trips.. Super absorbent, they pack down MUCH smaller than regular towels. Can be wrung out and used again and again. We used these towels to help a friend bail out his flooded tent one year.
*Baby Wipes are great to clean the road grime off your face, neck and ears before a shower is possible. Very refreshing.
What else do you pack on a long motorcycle trip?
