Today was another classic autumn day in Michigan, the kind we hope for and wish we could bottle up for a cold, rainy day. And we even had somewhat of an itinerary! We set out for Erwin’s Orchard in South Lyon to meet up with a few friends. As expected, it was jam packed on this gorgeous day in the upper 70s.
After catching up for a while in the warm sunshine, we made our way back out into the day, northwest, with somewhat of a plan. We were two up on my bike again, (that’s a whole other blog post) and navigated the back roads headed north into rural Michigan heaven. On our way, we rode past Silver Lake, and along the way ended up in Cohoctah.
We saw quite a bit of this:
And even more of this.. 🙂
Bill was in the mood for Subway, so my GPS found us one in Swartz Creek. From there we took Corunna Rd. to 23 south and headed home, just in time for Up North Coming Home Traffic. Yay!
It’s all good, we made it home and I can still feel the sun/windburn on my face. I shot the majority of these photos from the passenger seat of my bike – being down one bike has its perks! Thankful for another great excursion.
It looks so pretty and peaceful out there. What a gorgeous day too! Love that all the leaves are changing, perfect scenic ride for cruising around!
Yes, I think we’ve found a new area to explore further! 🙂
I don’t think you could have painted bluer skies … looks like a great ride Kathleen.
