I remember making gingersnaps for the first time, about 20 years ago. They were so awesome when they first came out of the oven, soft and chewy. Then they cooled and became hard enough to break teeth. I don’t know which exact recipe I used, but I had to have done something wrong. When the above image sold earlier this week, it reminded me I need to start looking for new recipes this year for the Cookie Exchange we do at work. ‘Tis the season!
Red and green chocolate chips make for a nice festive shortcut! Toss them into your favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe.
Sprinkles always add a nice touch, especially with “holly berries”. Especially on my mother-in-law’s awesome homemade fudge.
What are you baking this year?
I love those old fashioned ginger nuts too. If you find a good recipe let me know.
