When I planned this post I didn’t realize that it would be on the summer solstice, OR June’s full moon, the strawberry moon. I love the first day of summer and try to make the longest day of the year stretch as long as possible. Days get shorter from here on out, by the minute. Best not to think about it.
Here are some of my summer-inspired stock photos. I’m pretty sure this was the day use area at Portage Lake.
The boat ramp at Hayes State Park.
This was from a snowmobile trip, six years ago! Copemish, I think.
I took this from my car, sitting in traffic on the ramp to southbound 75. LOL
Ah, the Detroit Riverwalk! I’m surprised I got a shot free of kids!
Today I’m also celebrating my highest stock sale ever!! I can’t quite remember where this was taken, I’ll need to start logging the location in the keywords in Lightroom. I might be able to go back to that catalog and figure it out. I’m sure it’s from a campground somewhere!
I hope it’s clear enough tonight the photograph the moon. First one in my lifetime!
I guess we call what for you is the first day of summer, midsummer over here in the Nordics! I am hoping there’s many summery days ahead, the winter is so long here..
