How I Love Feedly

NaBloPoMo poses two challenges – writing every day and reading others’ blogs every day. I could lose myself in it, if I only had time to read them all! Luckily, Feedly was introduced to me a while back in a blogging meetup – it’s a newsfeed aggregator which can be used to capture all your favorite blogs in one place.

You can search for sites within Feedly based on keywords, hashtags, different genres. Or key in the direct URL of the site you wish to add. You can create categories of your own in which to save your sites, and they’re all listed at the side when you log in on a pc. On a mobile device, once you launch the app, all the newfeeds load, and you can swipe through them as you read. Within your lists, you can bookmark sites, change the theme from a white background to black, and also connect with Evernote and OneNote, which I haven’t yet explored.

I only wish it had a feature to download content for offline viewing, so I could catch up when not connected, like during camping weekends or while traveling. And perhaps save comments I write when offline and upload them when connected. But I really like it, and I use it on both my phone and tablet. I add all my fave bloggers and can then swipe through and read their latest posts. With 572 bloggers participating in NaBloPoMo, there is an ocean of blogs to get lost in. 🙂  Yay!

Do you have a favorite newsfeed tool?  How do you keep up with the blogs you follow?
