Good morning, nice to see you again! Thanks for joining me for a cup before I attack the ocean of leaves that is my backyard. Above, the last of my wildflowers poke through the fallen leaves. These are Coreopsis Basal, also known as Golden Wave or Tickseed.
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you I’m really getting irritated with my 2 year old laptop. Twice now it has failed to start, the first time resulting in me having to refresh it, which wipes all the applications the laptop did not come with (that was fun since there is no built in cd/dvd drive). Now I’m afraid to even turn it off. Files will be copied to cloud storage TODAY, that’s for sure.
NaBloPoMo is in full swing and there are 572 blogs in the now closed blogroll. I started to count them, as they are not in a numbered list. Then I realized I could copy the list and paste it into Excel. Voila! Numbered list and it captured the links so I now have all these awesome blogs to read. Hehehe. Yay me! Now I just need time to read them!
If we were having coffee, I’d ask if you’re getting out to shoot the Supermoon on Monday. Where I live, too many trees obscure the view, but Bill knows of a spot near his work where I should be able to get a clear view.
Well, this year has flown! I just realized Thanksgiving is week after next. Typically I bring the green bean casserole to my sister’s house with a bottle of her favorite rum as a thank you for putting up with all of us. Then Bill’s folks come on Friday for dinner. I’ve got this urge to try a new recipe this year, do you have a favorite?
More coffee? How was your week?

Hi Kat, You write really well. Keep at it. If we were having a coffee, I would have told you, how my day was today and how I was stuck with no ideas to write my 12th day, however managed to write a piece of my heart. I’m sure you would be able to get a clear view of the Super moon, and yes, good luck for the new recipe . shall drop by soon!
Aw, thank you, Ramya! I’m so happy you stopped by. NaBloPoMo is great for stretching your writing creativity, I could write every day SOMETHING, but then I’d hesitate sharing it.
If we were having coffee I would commiserate with you on the laptop woes!
Thanks Becca! Perfect timing! One post for NaBloPoMo I had to do from my phone. Thanks for reading!
Congratulations for not commenting on the political situation.
I AM PRAYING FOR PEACE!

🙂 Yes, I haven’t blogged about it at all. I have my opinions, as do others. And I’m definitely continuing to pray!
You captured a lovely slice of autumn in your picture. I do wish your laptop a quick recovery. Nothing can drive me wild like unreliable tech. My week has been okay, just focused on how and writing. Thanks for the coffee.

Thank you! We filled 19 bags yesterday and we still have more to do! I have three very mature silver maple trees. To me they are worth all the work in the fall.
My favorite recipe for Thanksgiving is these rolls my husband made a few years ago. Basically, your typical Paker house rolls but they wind up light and tasty and mmm. The recipe is a free one from Food and Wine (http://www.foodandwine.com/recipes/parker-house-rolls).
Thanks so much for sharing! I’ll check these out. 🙂
