coffee mug, kawasaki scarf

Here we are again, this week went by fast! Thank you for joining me on this chilly, colorful early November morning? How about some pumpkin spice coffee?

If we were having coffee, I’d mention how my huge silver maple seemed to turn its leaves yellow/red and drop them overnight, flooding my yard. I remember the years I spend raking everything. It required me taking time off work to get it done all at once, I couldn’t do it all in a weekend. I’m glad we now have a riding lawnmower with an attachment. Empty the bags when they fill and we’re done.

Our theme for the weekend is snowmobiling! That might make the above photo a bit more clear – it’s a hat and scarf set Bill got me for Christmas several years back. Today we will drive to Chesaning for the A1 Snowmobile Swap and Show, at Showboat Park. We’ve been going for years and I’ve written past blogs about it. Normally it’s much colder this time of year (always the first weekend in November) and several times we had snow flurries, which really set the mood. 🙂  Today though we’re supposed to get sun and 63, but I’m not complaining about that either!

Tonight I’m accompanying a friend to the The Church of the Human Spirit. Tonight’s topic is The Healing Power of Saying No.  Looking forward to checking it out!

Tomorrow we’re attending the Snowmobile USA Show and Sale at Suburban Collection Showplace! First one in a few years and I’m so happy it’s returned! Manufacturers, new sleds, the vintage sled club (which we’re drawn to) trails, lodging, everything!  Let it snow! The Farmer’s Almanac says we’re getting dumped on this year and I hope they’re right. Soon we’ll be rebuilding the fuel pump on my sled and getting them both ready for the season.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you about how I got up early and returned the RV cover that we bought in March. They let me exchange it, thank God, as it was past the 90 day period. AND, I expected to pay more for the one I needed, since it’s one size up. It was on sale!  For about $60 less than the one I returned!  Ha!

What do you have in store for the weekend?

  1. Pumpkin spice coffee sounds interesting? perfect? I’ll give it a go anyway.Saying NO is definitely a restorative. I remember in psychology at uni we had to document saying no to something we found impossible to say no to. I have to say when I did it I felt the best I had felt in a long time (at that time). It hasn’t made it easier for me to say No though. That remains a struggle. You were lucky with the cover. Nice of them to exchange and double bonus with the price. Hope your event was fun and th rest of the weekend also. Thanks for the coffee.

    1. Hi Irene, thanks for stopping by! Yes, I really enjoyed the presentation, I went with my husband and another couple – a dear friend I’ve known since 4th grade – so it made for a nice night out. I made some cool discoveries at the store upstairs, will share tonight.
