Day 11 of NaBloPoMo! I’m straying from prompt again.
I think it’s probably safe now for an unboxing of the October box from Twitterstone. This is a new subscription box I heard about from a fellow Instagrammer when the Nocturnal Reader’s Box shipments came to a disappointing halt. I looked for other similar subscription boxes and posed the question on Instagram, along with a photo. The response was to check out Twitterstone.
This is a bi-monthly box, and I’ve not yet subscribed, just purchased the October box. It arrived on Halloween, and I wanted to wait until everyone got their boxes before I share any spoilers on social media. It’s time!
In the box were two books, two bookmarks, a mug, a pin and a letter from Ed Kurtz, one of the authors.
At the Mercy of Beasts, by Ed Kurtz, is a trilogy of novellas with very good ratings on GoodReads. I can’t wait to dig into this one! Then there is Crooked, by Richard Pett, which also received very good reviews. It sounds a little different than my usual preference, a good, gripping, ghost or haunted house tale, but I’m looking forward to trying it out as well.
The heart pin is neat, though I’m not quite sure yet of the significance. I’m sure once I delve into the books it will become clear.
And two very cool bookmarks! Pop the Clutch sounds awesome!
And A World of Horror sounds just as good!
I will likely fold and order the December box! It sounds like it will be one I won’t want to miss!
