Last night we attended the Church of the Human Spirit with some dear friends. It’s in the lower level of the Sacred Sage store in Farmington. I got there early and browsed a bit before meeting up with our friends for dinner.
I found all kinds of cool things in the store, books (of course), incense and a stone in particular (there were many!) that intrigued me. It was called Ulexite, and the sign read, “Enhances clairvoyance, amplifies dreams and imagination, opens third eye”. So I bought one, along with a cool embroidered pouch to keep it in.
It’s also known as the TV stone, because it seems to project anything you place it on. When I got home, I did more research and learned quite a bit about this type of mineral (links to sources are below).
Named for George Ludwig Ulex, a German chemist who performed the first chemical analysis of the mineral, it’s found in California, Nevada, Chile and Kazakhstan.
What caught my attention was the way it looked – the display showing its translucence was very cool – it looked like the stones were printed, but it was the print under it. (The above photo is from a book I also purchased at the store.) I read later that it can enhance lucid dreaming when placed under your pillow while sleeping and also helped in meditation when placed over the third eye, or sixth chakra, in the brow, or forehead area.
So last night, I took the ulexite from it’s pouch and placed both under my pillow. Mind you, this is the first experiment and I’ll be logging future experiments, so I’m not here to say that I found this magic stone and it works. But, this is what I found.
I don’t remember my dreams exactly, unfortunately they left my memory the moment I woke up, but what I do remember is that they were vivid. Wild and vivid. Also lucid for at least a moment because I remember thinking in my dream, wow, this is over the top, must dial it back a bit! Or something like that. ??
It wasn’t until this afternoon that Bill told me he dreamed in color last night, which he normally does not. He didn’t know the stone was under my pillow.
Interesting. I’m curious to see how the next week turns out.
Here are some the sources I found.

Also, don’t put it in hot water – it will dissolve!
