It’s going to be a quiet day. Ironic, since it’s Election Day in the US. For me, it is a corporate holiday, and it’s frowned upon if we log in to catch up on work, which I’d have normally done, so today it will be me and my empty house. Of course we will go vote, once Bill gets home this afternoon. We’ve watched, we’ve followed, we’ve done our research and we’ll go stand in line when it’s time. So until then, I’ve got the day to myself to unwind.
The TV is off and I’m making an effort to take a break from social media today, which you already know, is buzzing. I’ve been keeping up with the discussion somewhat but it’s time for a break from the constant stream. I just so happened to finish the current book I was reading and shipped it back into the Libby ether, so it was perfect timing to start my next read, in between straightening up and researching blog prompts.
We were treated to another clear, sunny day. I did get some things done around the house, and now, with my hip throbbing, I’ll limp back to the ray of sunshine has found its spot on my couch.
I hope your day was peaceful. I hope you cast your vote.
God help us all.
Good for you! Quiet is good for the psyche!!
It sure is. I am a card carrying introvert. Noise wears on me so quickly.. We were in and out at the polls and now watching the results.
Ooh that book looks interesting! How are you enjoying it so far?

It’s good so far! Very small print and a thick book, so we’ll see how long it takes me to get through it!
