It’s Thanksgiving Eve and I hope all is well with you. I hope you have all you need, your trip to the grocery store was peaceful, your turkey is thawed and everything is in place for tomorrow. If you’re at the bar, please celebrate responsibly.

I’m homebound for hip reasons and we will be having Bill’s folks over. Our dinner will be thanks to Cracker Barrel carry out. (I’m really looking forward to this!)

As far as traditions go, we started this a few years back. This is not my original idea (saw it somewhere on social media) and I’d credit the heck out of whoever came up with this, but our favorite Thanksgiving tradition is doing Burnout Pumpkin Pie. We use a different Hot Wheels car every year, and Reddi-Whip for the smoke cloud.

Here is our first burnout pie, in 2018, a 1965 Impala.

2019 was a 1970 Chevelle SS wagon.

For 2020, Thanksgiving was brought to us by the number 18 car, Kyle Busch.

This is last year’s, which turned out a bit blurry and we also learned to use a completely cooled pie, as our “smoke” started to melt right away.

This year’s pie will be sponsored by the Batmobile! I’m looking forward to how this will turn out.

Do you have a favorite Thanksgiving tradition?
