Ahh. Sunday.  I hope you’ve had a good week. We’ve had a few good, foggy October mornings and lots of sunshine on Saturday.  Today I’ll catch up on few things, but I was able to carve out some relaxing media time.

Watching
The Watcher!  A rather gripping Netflix series, based on a true story! We’re on the last episode, pacing ourselves all week.
Cabinet of Curiosities, another Netflix series that we just started. Pretty good!

With Halloween around the corner, I’ll be watching my traditional, classic movies, Dark Night of the Scarecrow and of course, on Halloween night, the original Halloween, as I’ve done for years. Believe it or not, I have not yet seen Hocus Pocus 2, as we already have enough subscription channels.

But tonight – The Night Before Halloween. Looks like a teenage slasher flick, but we’ll give it a go.

Reading
For the Halloween season, I indulged in an Amazon delivery of Devil’s Night, by Norman Partridge, Halloween, by Matt Shaw, and Dark Harvest, by Curtis M. Lawson. I started with Devil’s Night as I’m a metro Detroit native and the stories are based in Detroit, in the 80s, when pretty much everything went up in flames every year on October 30th. Thank God it’s calmed down since then.

I also ordered Quiet by Susan Cain. I loved her TED talk, and I can’t wait to dive into this one.  AND, I finished a book I bought a while ago, written by a fellow blogger, Suzanne Craig-Whytock – Feasting Upon the Bones!  It’s a delightful collection of creepy short stories. Loved it!

Listening
Heart Sounds by David Lanz is one of my all time favorites. When I hear this song, I’m driving down a dirt road with the fall colors all ablaze around me – yellows, oranges, reds.  It’s sunny, warm, the windows are down and I’m loving life in this moment.

Take a listen, I hope you enjoy it.

Happy Halloween!
