Last night after Thanksgiving dinner, we gathered as family for another tradition – looking at campsites for Memorial weekend 2016. Thanksgiving, actually the Friday after, marks 6 months to the day when we can book sites from the Michigan DNR website. Many sites were already booked as folks reserved from Thursday on, enabling them to book the whole weekend (sneaky!). Since we couldn’t get out until Friday, we had to wait until today. We didn’t get the sites we wanted, but we were still able to stay pretty much together.
Now it begins. The holidays will soon come and go, and our serious shopping for a toy hauler will begin. I hope that it will make January through March fly by as well!
I gotta say, camping as family tradition sounds really cool. I’ve been convincing my family to try camping for the holidays and I only get weird looks. I hope they consider doing it soon. 🙂
