As our annual trek out to South Dakota looms, travel seemed like a good theme for Microstock Monday. I wonder sometimes if those who have the freedom and means to travel ever get tired of being on the go, and long for home. I can’t imagine it. But then, the grass always is always greener! You desire what’s out of reach, and when you attain it, the next best thing comes along to lure you further.
Over time, I’ve added several stock photos that reflect travel. This will likely make up a good part of my portfolio in the years to come.
The photo below I think was somewhere in Georgia. We drove Bill’s Impala down to Florida to visit my Dad. Somewhere along 75, a rock flew up and broke out a headlight. We found an auto parts store and Bill replaced the headlight in the parking lot. This sign was near the corner of the curb I sat on while he fixed it.
Railroad tracks crossing Bishop Lake Rd. on our way to the campground at Brighton Recreation area, one of our favorite haunts.
Somewhere along Route 2 in Ohio at a truck stop. This was a bike trip with friends, when we first discovered Dock’s Beach House on Lake Erie. Route 2 is a nice ride, along with 20, which is just further south.
Along 7 Mile in Northville, there is a small park on the south side of the road just past Northville Downs, called Fish Hatchery Park. Bill and I had gone for a jaunt and as we sat on our bikes discussing our next destination, this shot presented itself.
Pretty sure this was Hines, again, one of many signs indicating the bike path that runs parallel.
