Well here it is, 9:18am on a cold November morning, tapping away at my keyboard and sipping my coffee with my space heater as the snow flurries begin to fly. I’m kind of glad to see the snow. To me it’s like the contrast that makes me feel cozier and safer, watching it snow horizontally from the warmth of my dining room. Like everyone else, I hate driving in it and I’m glad I have nowhere to be this morning.
My Saturday morning ritual is calling – list making! What to get done before Sunday night. It starts just like this, scanning through social media channels to see what’s new in the world and with those I know, at the same time, jotting down what needs to be done so I can relax Sunday night when The Walking Dead comes on (yeah, AMC, I’d REALLY like to know if Glenn is alive!!) with that accomplished feeling of a productive weekend. I just wish I could keep the same motivation for Saturday that I have during the week! It’s going to take some to get moving.
It’s really coming down now. This all started in the last half hour and looks way snowier than in the photo. And look! Folks are out walking their dog across the street. More adventurous than I. I’ll just sit right here with my coffee and my list.
Happy Saturday! It’s just the beginning.
I heard on the news it was snowing in places around the lakes. They even predicted slight chances here but it wasn’t to be: not today, not yet! I’m with you – I love the snow coming down, as long as I don’t have to go anywhere!

We have about 3″ – 4″ inches of wet, heavy snow but it’s tapering off now..
I live in Winnipeg and we’ve had quite a bit of snow this week as well. I love the snow at this time of year when it’s still warm(ish) outside, but I’m not looking forward to the super cold days I know are coming in the new year. Oh well, I’ll just have to make sure my bundling game is strong when the time comes.
Stay warm!

Yes, I’m never ready for the cold, especially when it was 60 overnight earlier this week!
