Random drops of rain tap the tent I’m sitting in , the remnants of a hellacious thunderstorm that just passed through Spearfish. At least we made it back to camp first.
This is my tenth Sturgis rally, and there are several attractions we never tire of, year after year. Custer State Park is one of them. We were married in 2010 at the Blue Bell Lodge in Custer, and visit the outdoor chapel each year.
We saw several herds of bison today in Custer State Park.
Needles was awesome, as always.
I hit the jackpot at the Sylvan Lake Resort gift shop!
The clerk said to me, “You’re my kind of tourist! When I travel, I buy books..”. Hehehe.. I can’t wait to dig into these.
They also had a great shirt which I felt was timely on the heels of the Yellowstone dumbassery taking place.
Battery is dying, gotta love rustic camping! More tomorrow..
