My husband and I enjoy a local oval race track, the Flat Rock Speedway. Several years ago, we attended a figure 8 race and rode our motorcycles to the track, about 45 minutes from home. Once inside the gate, there is a designated bike parking area right up close to the back of the stands.

We always arrive early to grab seats at the very top row, so that we have a backrest – the chainlink fence behind us. It was fall, and I brought two of our Harley throws, one to sit on for cushion and one to tuck into the fence to block the wind.

We heard more bikes arrive and looked down through the fence to see several Honda Goldwings being parked in the bike parking section. After a few minutes, several guys were making their way up the stands when the first one looked up and stopped in his tracks, spotting our Harley throw.

“Oh no!  We’re in the wrong section!”

Hahaha.

Bill yells to him, “I’ve got a Honda, come on up!”

We all laughed. I didn’t pay attention to where they actually found their seats, but they’d have been welcome in the Harley Section.

🙂
