Good Morning, my friend! Thanks for stopping by on this chilly damp morning. At least it’s not raining. Yesterday it was so loud on the trailer’s roof I couldn’t go back to sleep.

Our camping weekends are dwindling and soon I’ll have to accept the fact that it’s time to winterize. We’ve had such a fantastic season, though, and lots of memories. Today we have Bill’s MIS excursion, so look for another post coming soon on his racing adventure! We’re praying it doesn’t get rained out again.

So what’s new in your world? I finished my new bookcase last weekend and I love it! There is still some room to fill it up (rubbing hands together). The pic is kind of wavy, I had to use panaromic mode on my phone to fit it all in!

I was disappointed, though, to learn that Hoopla, a very cool library ebook app, won’t run on my tablet, which is a several years old now Motorola Xoom (folding arms and pouting).  There is Odila and I also found one called OverDrive, but the book selection does not compare to Hoopla. So I guess a new tablet is in my future sometime. Darn. 🙂

On the topic of books, I just finished The Indifferent Stars Above: The Harrowing Saga of a Donner Party Bride. Wow. Not a pleasant story, but I wanted to know the history of this tragic event. Very well written book. I won’t make my GoodReads challenge this year, unfortunately. Unless I finish it out with children’s books. Haha. My next one is the new one by Pam Grout, Thank and Grow Rich. I’ve read E Squared and E Cubed, which were great. It’s fun and intriguing to experiment with the concept of expectation. What are you reading? More coffee?

I love October. Our next excursion is the Halloween campout weekend at Sleepy Hollow State Park and we’re fortunate to be able to leave early, so we won’t be setting up in the dark (and hopefully not rain!). I need some decorating ideas for our new trailer.  Muhahahah!

Well, the sun is out, will you join us for breakfast? I love the smell of bacon cooking outdoors. And hopefully a walk before it’s time to pack up.

There’s a cardinal chirping in the woods behind us.  Sounds like my mom joined us today. 🙂
