If we were having coffee, I’d tell you how excited I am for our first snowfall. It’s supposed to snow all day today into 4am Monday, totalling about 8 inches. No, I’m not looking forward to tomorrow’s commute, but that’s something that as long as I live here I will have to deal with. Besides, Wayne County recently posted an article about how they’ve added additional, new trucks to their fleet this year and they are READY. They’ve always done a bang up job of getting our roads cleared quickly.
So, if you know me, you know the reason I’m turning cartwheels for the snow is that I want to RIDE! My sled is fixed and I can’t wait to try it out. We have places up north to go, and two places locally I’ve heard allow snowmobiling. And, our yard is big enough to run several tight loops around the front yard and sidewalk.
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you how I was super excited for an event next weekend, where they are allowing snowmobiles to cross the Mackinac Bridge. Unfortunately, wheel kits are needed for the skis and they are very rare, from what I’m told (at least for vintage models like ours). Most people fabricate their own. We’ll never accomplish that by next Saturday, so I hope this event takes place again in 2018. (folding arms and pouting)
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that I signed up for a Christmas cookie exchange at work again and that I must select two recipes for Tuesday’s swap. I found a fabulous sounding recipe for Fireball fudge, but unfortunately not appropriate for work. Over the Christmas holiday though, oh yes. This will happen. Good thing my elliptical faces the TV and I’ve got Netflix loaded up!
We put up our tree yesterday and added the toy Harleys we collect every year. Each year we buy a new bike and add it to our collection of “ornaments”. Bill’s mom gave us an Elvis ornament and I thought the way he was standing was perfect to add a bike. Bill wrapped a hanger wire around his leg and made it permanent.
And of course, the angel’s arms were the perfect width for an S&S decal.
Last night we attended the 57th Annual Big Brothers Big Sisters Indoor Motorcycle Ice Race in Flint. It’s always a fun time. We enjoyed dinner with dear friends and then made the trek out to the arena. The kids class is more fun to watch than the adults, with their helmets as big as their bodies.. LOL
Well, it’s tempting to lounge around today but I must get moving. So what are your plans on this snowy Sunday? Whatever you do, stay warm and drive safe!
Fireball fudge sounds amazing! Enjoy the snowmobile!
Enjoy the snow activities. I like your ornaments they are unusual. Have a pleasant week.

I’ve experienced having a white Christmas but sadly not enough for snowmobiling. Sounds so much fun! Have a great week!
