Good Morning on this frosty Sunday! Last week we had 65 degrees, today a high of 41. We had thunderstorms on Friday and snow on Saturday. Weather in Michigan is anything but predictable. Come on in! Coffee, tea, something else?
Speaking of tea, I’m still on the lookout for Sweet & Spicy by Good Earth. If you like cinnamon tea, you will love this – it’s like liquid Big Red. I found a Bed Bath and Beyond gift card I’d forgotten about, so I stopped in yesterday after my monthly trek to Costco. I remembered they had this tea and I thought I’d grab a box or two. Until I arrived and there was none to be found in the wall of k-cups. Darn.
Walk out of Bed, Bath and Beyond empty-handed? Ha! That’s like spending $10 at Costco. I settled instead for pumpkin spice coffee, black leggings (of all things) and these produce containers that are supposed to keep your fruits and veggies fresh longer.
Standing in the store, I googled the reviews and they supposedly work rather well. Thinking of how much I’ve thrown away in rubbery celery and cucumbers with mold spots, I opted to give these a try. We shall see. In the small container, I decided to test the cilantro. If this works, I’ll be amazed.
If we were having coffee, I’d mention how I’m looking forward to doing more with the yard this year, in terms of planting and also outdoor lighting. I can’t wait to get outside again. We were hoping for a campfire last night, but sitting outside in the snow flurries just didn’t seem too appealing.
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you how I’m hoping to get some reading in today. I haven’t read in a while, life has been taking up all my days lately. For the last month I’ve committed to a healthier diet and in the last week, 30 minutes per day on my elliptical. The scale has been making me happy! 🙂 But it takes time and planning, so it’s been a while that I’ve curled up with a book. Especially a good fiction novel that you can’t put down. Are you reading any good books lately? Doing the GoodReads reading challenge this year?
If we were having coffee, I’d ask you to join me in a snow dance! We are praying to be able to ride our sleds just one more time. Or two. A girl can hope.
Enough about me. More coffee? What’s new in your world?

I’m doing the Goodreads challenge this year. I limited the number of books after overreaching last year (see: http://www.daisysmileyface.com/2017/01/24/mcreading/). I spent more than 3 hours reading yesterday, for the first time in MONTHS. A 75 degree day meant hanging out in the park with some books. Ahhhhhh.
That sounds fabulous! My Sunday is slipping by, I will probably need to set a timer for myself just to get some reading in today.. 🙂
Let me know how those veggie keepers work!
Will do!
I do hope you get that reading time in. I’m trying for 30 books again this year but I’m already struggling! I’m not that into what I am reading at the moment, but I’m going to get through it and then on to more interesting things! Thanks for the coffee!

I am doing the Good Reads Challenge… Am 5 books in and pretty pleased with myself…
By the way, one of the best ways I found of keeping cilantro was to keep the roots, wash the herbs it a bath of water (or wash when you use), place roots in a glass of water and cover loosely with a plastic bag. I’m telling you, besides when they get pushed to the back of the fridge and hidden away, I hardly ever throw it out anymore!

Thanks for the idea! The cilantro seems to have survived pretty well. I’m looking forward to having some time to read.
