I missed you last week! The weeks are flying by and summer will be gone before we know it. I know.. Happy thoughts!!!
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you how geeked I am to go for a nice long ride later today – we’re off to Saginaw to check out Rocky’s Great Outdoors. We saw an ad for it somewhere a while back and it looked like a very cool place – motorcycling, kayaks, canoes, camping, hiking, hunting and fishing. I can’t wait!
Our wildflower garden is sprouting some plants I actually recognize – daisies! A few have opened and it looks like we’ll have quite a bit more. I’ve also been able to identify the majority of the wild plants we have growing, as evening primrose.
They bloom at night, not a great photo without much light. All the leaves look kind of dusty, need to find out about that.
I’m also super geeked to have a mulberry tree around the corner! My neighbor has one at the far end of her yard and let me pick some. I found a YouTube video on growing mulberry trees and it’s amazing easy to grow one from a cutting – you basically just cut a branch and stick it in the ground! I’ll have to ask her for a cutting the next time she’s out.
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you I had a chance to spend some time on the Riverwalk this past week, in between meetings. I went down for Walk the Riverwalk Wednesday, a walking challenge going on at work.
The only problem with going is that it’s so difficult to come back!
They even have little free libraries! I should drop off some books next time I go.
How about YOU? It’s great to catch up, what’s new in your world?

Oh no I can’t think about July being around the corner, summer just started, I’m in no way ready for it to end. I love the idea of a walking challenge, I wish we had that at work.
