Hey, thanks for stopping by! What a nice morning to sit outside. Can you believe it’s JUNE? I’m happy because we waited so long for nice weather and sad because I know it will go by so quick. We just need to focus on appreciating every minute of it, I suppose. And yes, Dale Jr. no longer sports the number 8 or drives for Budweiser. But on an exciting note, Bill is over the moon excited for his early birthday gift – 18 laps around MIS in a race car. I can’t wait!!
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you how EXCITED I am to finally be putting down a new kitchen floor. I found Tavern Oak laminate at Lowe’s when I went to go buy the other laminate I decided on, Ginger Hickory. I saw the Tavern Oak and fell in love. It’s not as red as the Ginger Hickory and will match our wooden kitchen cabinets much better.
Our kitchen leads out to both the living and dining room, so we plan to ultimately go all the way around with the laminate. Another dream come true!
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you I’m geeked and a bit nervous for volunteering (why do I keep doing this?? LOL) to host tomorrow’s Michigan Bloggers meetup in Novi. I really am looking forward to it, don’t get me wrong. I just worry about the members’ take away – I hope I’ve gathered information to share that they’ll find helpful and not a waste of their time. Lots of times we just pick a topic or two and then the discussion between members fills in the rest, most have another idea or two to share, and everyone in the group learns something. Plus, one of our members has graciously opened up his office at Panda CashBack, LLC so it will be so much quieter than Panera! Yay!!!
One of our members posted on leaving for a motorcycle trip (be still my heart!) and asked about blogging from the road. I can’t wait to talk to him about this and I’m thinking about putting my strategy out there as a blog post. I’ve also come up with a new plan for my blog – check out my About page!
What’s new with you? How will you spend this beautiful early summer weekend?

Thanks very much! I LOVE it! And thanks, I hope we have a good turnout tomorrow.. 🙂
Blogging from the road sounds pretty awesome! I hope it happens.
Thanks, I’m looking forward to it!
An in person bloggers meet up sounds so fun. I grew up in Michigan, but it would be a long way to travel now from the west coast:)
🙂 Try checking Meetup.com to see if there is a meetup in your area. Or start one!
Do let us know how the hosting event goes!
Hi! A few folks showed, we had a good conversation. I think all of us learned something new, so it was a good day. 🙂
Your local blogging meet up sounds like a great idea. Hope it went well for you!
I had quite a stressful week last week getting things organised and feel like I’ve crashed today. The rain has cleared up but there’s a bit of a wind out and it’s back to looking bleak again after the sun made a guest appearance this afternoon.

Thanks! We had a good conversation, I was able to share CommentLuv with a few folks not familiar, and in talking with a fellow blogger, I went from Feedburner to MailChimp and I love it! Hope your week quiets down for you..
I love the tone of the laminate you chose. We are redoing the floors in my house and chose a wood-look porcelain tile. It’s quite the project… 🙂
Thanks! I can’t wait to do the rest.. It will wrap around through the dining room and kitchen.. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!
