If we were having coffee, we’d likely be watching the news on this chilly Saturday morning, praying that Irma gets distracted (squirrel!) and heads back out into the Atlantic. Last night we watched the news for quite some time, and it was incredibly sad to see the coverage of southern Florida currently deserted but intact, knowing what will happen in the days to come. It was especially unnerving to see the radar showing all three hurricanes – Harvey in Mexico, Irma and Jose not far behind.
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you how this was the longest shortest week. Coincidentally, I’m on three projects at work right now that may just fold into the perfect storm, no pun intended at all, it’s simply the best way to describe it. I’m in several territories new to me, trying to find my way as I go. I so hate this feeling, though baptism by fire is the best way to learn. Of course though, I realize how minor my troubles are by comparison.
After breakfast (you’ll be staying, won’t you?) we’ll be venturing up into Michigan’s thumb area for the Kris Klaus Memorial Grass Drags. It’s a two hour drive into Deckerville, and I bribed Bill with French Toast Sausages, my new breakfast hit! It should be a nice, early Fall road trip, though I don’t know how much snowmobiling I’ll be doing this year due to my bum hip. Tomorrow we’ll head into Monroe for the Walneck’s Motorcycle Swap Meet, a yearly trek. Hoping for an adventure-filled Road Trip Sunday post! How was your week?
