Good morning and thanks for joining me on the patio for coffee! It’s sunny, breezy and not too warm yet, but the forecast says we will reach 90 today. The nights have already begun to get cooler though, so Fall is on its way!

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that we have a relatively full day ahead. I really want to visit the campground we will be staying at next weekend and get a look at the lake. You may have heard about the huge algae bloom on Lake Erie. The west end of the lake they speak of is where the campground is. I haven’t been able to reach the park office and we’ve found online that there are no water advisories or beach closures, but I’m curious to go out and see for myself, so we may take a ride out there.

Then it’s off to my sisters to celebrate my youngest niece – she graduated from college and landed her first teaching position! Super incredibly proud aunt here.  Rain is headed our way, so we are trying to determine if we can ride to our destinations or drive.

If we were having coffee I’d tell you our windows are done, and except for a few minor mishaps, we’re pretty happy with them.  And, the company sent me an Amazon Fire 7 as a bonus!

Amazon Fire 7

It’s several versions old now, but it’s an improvement from my Motorola Xoom tablet (circa 2009) which is still chugging along. I was also happy to be able to install Hoopla, my e-library app. I’ve been having fun loading up my Amazon Prime watch list as well.

On the topic of reading, I’m way behind on my GoodReads Reading Challenge, I’ve read 8 out of 30! I finished Haunted Rock and Roll (which was awesome, on the heels of our visit to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!) and found that there is a More Haunted Rock and Roll by the same author!

So. The coffee has hit the spot and we are tracking the storms and trying to determine if we can ride to either destination.

    1. Yes, the water level has lots of docks submerged, especially along the rivers going into Lake Huron.. With all this rain, LOTS of things have popped up in my yard and plants have flowered like they haven’t before. Amazing what happens when you water your plants! LOL
