Good Morning on this rare, sunny Sunday! Not much of these this time of year. Wait, never mind. That was our brief moment of sunshine today. Glad we caught it! Come on in and grab a beverage. How’ve you been?
I’m hoping the temps go up soon as we still have a ton of yard work to do and this the last week the city picks up leaves. We’re supposed to get more rain, but not until well after dark. I also need to rehearse a rollout session I’m giving tomorrow which is part of my continuous improvement project. That will likely take up my whole evening given how much I stress over things like this. At least I’ll be as ready as I can be.
I got one Christmas gift purchased this past week and today I should probably make a list of everything I need to do, at work and at home, before I jet off to sunny Florida to see my Dad for Christmas. We have several holiday themed events planned this week at work, for which I’ll be participating, a cookie exchange and a holiday potluck, so add those to the list.
On the media front, I’d love to be able to schedule some time in today to finish my latest read, Creepers by David Morrell. I won’t make my GoodReads goal this year of 30 books, I think mainly due to the three months I lost this year focusing on nothing but Lean Six Sigma. I’ll make it to 20 books, though. I haven’t decided what will be next, most likely Midnight in Chernobyl. And my next Creepy Crate box is on the way, so my TBR list just grows. What are you reading?
I’d like to also hang our Christmas lights today and we don’t yet have our tree up! Always plenty to do this time of year. I should probably get going on that list, though I’ll be by later to drop in and catch up.
Our gracious host, Eclectic Alli, is taking a hiatus, so our dear friend Antoinette is taking the Weekend Coffee Share torch! Visit her blog and join in!
Your photo is just SO jolly! It sounds like you have some great holiday themed days ahead of you. Wonderful 🙂 Thank you for the coffee!
Thanks for stopping by! Working on the jolly part. LOL Maybe we’ll get our tree up today.
All these projects and time to read! Joy! Thanks for the coffee.
I find I have to schedule it in, just like everything else! Thanks for reading!
After careful thought, I’ve decided that 20 books this year with all the other stuff you crammed into these short months is sufficient for a raise of our glasses of (well – whatever) or our cups of (something delightfully hot) to celebrate our many accomplishments. We read primarily for ourselves, but much of what we both did improved the lives of others. Cheers to you Kathleen.
Thank you Gary! I like to thinking of reading like the popular meme – it’s how we install software into our brains. 🙂 Thanks so much for reading!
I’ve been reading THE TWO TOWERS. Emphasis on “been reading”. Been at it for sometime now, actually (long story). Really such a lazy reader these past years, I’m disappointed at myself. Anyway, will try to come up with a plan of how to squeeze in every thing I want to do in my everday life (or every week, maybe).

Thanks for stopping by! I had to remind myself about audiobooks for my commute. And also to drag my butt to the gym with my Kindle. So much to read, so little time!
