Good Morning! Come on in, we can sit on the patio but it’s a bit humid and foggy. We had another decent storm come through last night – this region is pretty water logged!  And other parts of the country need rain so badly. Isn’t that how things always work? Sigh.

How was your week? We are getting ready to head back out west for the Sturgis rally so it’s the same familiar mode – excitement and crazy busy-ness.  Lots to do and pack and think about and plan. With the news this week that our border doesn’t open until August 21st, that ruins the plans our friends from Quebec had, for coming to the rally. So disappointing. We hoped and prayed this would be the year we would see them again, with 2020 being obviously being cancelled. So that’s a bummer. But we have lots of other things to look forward to – progress on our little slice of heaven and we also made plans to visit Medora with some friends. Super excited!

Work has been good. We continue to work towards deadlines but everything is nearing the finish line, so that is a good feeling. Now I pray that nothing hits the fan mid-week causing last minute scrambling.

Well, with all this rain, the garden is doing well!  The tomato plants are huge and starting to flower. Almost all my pepper plants have flowers, and a few peppers. And my first blackberry is almost ready – I hope the birds don’t get to it before I do!

The mystery bean plant is still doing well – huge! I keep checking it for any sign of beans, like a flower or something? I’m not exactly and experienced gardener. 🙂

Today is another paddle day! I’m actually up and moving around pretty good. Yesterday I attended a log jam workday at a local river. We got a LOT done but there is so much left to do and I came home pretty beat. I look forward to the next one though. Hopefully soon we can open it up and I can’t wait to paddle that stretch!

Well, I must be going – things to wrap before playtime again today. I hope you had a great week and I look forward to stopping by to see what’s going on in your world!

  1. It is weird how some places had so much rain this summer, when others didn’t get any. I’m guessing it has to do with climate changes. Very scary! Thank you for the coffee! Do we get blackberry pie next week ?

    1. Hi! Sorry for the delay! I’ve been just eating them with yogurt. I have just the one plant so I haven’t had many. I’m surprised at how many were on that one plant though. I transplanted it here last fall. It must like this new location.
