Good Morning and come on in! It’s going up to a balmy 48 degrees today but patio coffee is still a ways off. How’ve you been? Make yourself comfy.
It’s Groundhog Day and from what I’ve heard, Punxsatawney Phil did not see his shadow, so spring will come early! Here’s hoping. This is about the time I really get antsy and long to open the windows and get outside without too many layers. Today, I plan to carve out some time and watch the movie, which I’ve never seen. Yep! I’ve never seen Groundhog Day! LOL A co-worked loaned me the DVD.
And I think there is a football game on later? I don’t know. 🙂 I’m not even sticking around for the commercials, I’ll catch them on YouTube.
Work has been steady, and one of our deadlines will likely be pushed back, so it’s nice to have that breathing room. Now if I can just shush my anxiety – I interviewed for another position on Thursday and now I wait for their decision. Trying to stay busy and keep my mind off it. Any and all good juju would be greatly appreciated!
I’m really looking forward to getting outside today on the warmest day we have in the forecast for a while! I got my Metropark pass in the mail so I’m planning to get out to the Lower Huron Metropark today and do some exploring. I see two canoe/kayak launches on the map, and I’m looking forward to finding places along the Huron River I can put in and then find a place to leave my car.
Yesterday, in efforts to shake some of the winter blues, we visited Camping World, but I didn’t find anything we needed, except for a few parts we need to measure or bring with back to the store once we open up for the season. I’m also excited to get a few more weekends booked throughout the summer, so I need to get moving on that before the parks fill up. I like to get out in April and we have nothing reserved yet.
Well, I must be going! Lots to cram into the last day of the weekend. Come visit our coffee share host, Eclectic Alli, and tell us about your week!
Early spring–hurray! Can’t wait to launch the kayaks!

I’m really getting antsy and can’t wait to get more underwater video!
Hi Kathleen,
I’m so with you on football. Even the commercials, someone pretty much has to lay them right n front of me somehow and make a good case for why I need to watch them (‘cuse me?! It’s a commercial…).
I too have applied for a new position at work and perhaps, we could share best wishes for each other.
Do you guys have a Store named, Bass Pro ? I have to drive almost 2 hours to get to one myself, but we make the drive sometimes just for the fun of the store which is a heaven for outdoor camping and sports. The one closest to us has a giant fresh water aquarium and the feeding time is always a gas to watch.
Anyway, if you really want to dodge the game today, you are welcome to prowl around my site for a few fun stories. Your visits will always be welcome.
Well, here’s to good news for both of us this week.
Blessings.
I will for sure be sending you good wishes this week! I hope we can clink our virtual coffee mugs this weekend in a toast of celebration! I’ve never followed sports and neither has Bill. When we hear about a good commercial, it’s off to YouTube we go. We do have Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s! Always a fun destination and yes, the aquarium is amazing! I love to browse their camping gear and rustic home decor. I enjoy your stories and will be sure to stop by.. Thanks for reading and have a great week!
Camping isn’t too far away….yeah! Good luck with the job
Thank you!
Sounds like a great week and weekend. Our temperatures dipped last night and it is around 27F today. It has been beautiful and sunny. I am stillat work, on my break right now, but we’ve been outside with the kids all morning. Have a Great new week!
