Hello my friends! I’m glad these coffee shares are virtual as I think I’ve come down with something. I had a procedure done at the hospital Thursday and now I’m experiencing the joys of a scratchy throat and congested sinuses. Nice. And my painkillers aren’t doing much, so as my title suggests, this weekend will be Netflix and pain. It isn’t too bad, just enough to be annoying.
We had a freeze warning the other night so we harvested what was left of our meager garden. I’ve saved the pepper seeds and I’m looking forward to starting the next generation in the spring. I’m hoping this is not the start of super cold weather, but northern Michigan has already seen snow.
On the topic of snow, we made the difficult decision to let go of our Kawasaki snowmobiles. They are true vintage sleds, a 1979 Invader and a 1982 LTD. As much as we hate to sell them, it’s time we find newer models and let these go to a collector. Luckily, a friend who is a Kawasaki sled enthusiast is interested, and I know will take good care of them. Bill has already found a 1999 Polaris and picks it up today. And Sunday we will be looking at a 1997 Ski-Doo for me. New chapter in our lives and more adventures to come!
A co-worker had a Color Street online party recently and I indulged in a glow in the dark manicure which arrived yesterday! Ordering them was like booking a campsite for a holiday weekend! They sold out in minutes – I was lucky to nab them. These are nail polish sheets that are 95% dry that you apply to your nails. Something to do while I’m nursing my ailments.
The other glittery one is called Night Terror. Haha. Can’t wait to try these. I hope I do it right. Tonight we will carve pumpkins and partake in our annual Halloween festivities. I DVR’d several movies I need to watch and delete, I may even have a backyard fire later if I’m feeling better. It’s a bright, sunny, chilly fall day.
So what’s new with you? How about some more coffee? Join us over at Eclectic Ali’s and join in the conversation!
I hope it is just allergies or a cold! And I hope you feel better soon. It seems funny that sleds that are more than 20 years old are considered “new”, but I guess compared to 40 years old… I have friends who are big into snowmobiling, but I’ve never been interested – I’m a pure introvert, so I love the quiet of winter (my favorite part of the season). i hoep you have a great week!
Yes, new to us definitely! If we lived up north and had some land, we’d invest in newer, but we don’t get as much snow in southern Michigan, and there are few places to ride. I like the quiet of winter too, especially hiking.
Ooo no, this doesn’t;t sound good. I sure hope you feel much better soon. ❤
Thanks Maria! I do feel better today..
Ooh, I love those nails! And I hope you feel better soon!

Hi Kathleen,
Sorry to hear that you’re not feeling well.but getting ready for a new snowmobile sounds really fun. I’ve only ridden one once, but what a hoot. I recall thinking I really should move to where it snows as this would be such fun each season.
Heal up quickly and fully.
Thanks Gary! I’m actually feeling much better today. We’re really excited our our new finds. It makes winter pass quickly!
Kathleen, I hope you feel better. Snowmobiling is huge in Northern Ontario where there are many trails to explore. Sounds like you’ll have a fun winter with your new Ski-Doo.

This nails are awesome I wish you would’ve told me I’ve worn them a few times!
I hope you feel better soon. The upside of being sick I find is that it actually forces me to take a minute and let my body relax – enjoy Netflix and maybe some chicken soup.
