Good morning friends and thank you for joining me! I have some pumpkin spice coffee left if you’d like some, or some regular McCafe. Cinnamon or blueberry tea as well!
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that Wednesday I start outpatient PT and I’m anxious to see what they will put me through. I walk in short intervals on the treadmill several times a day but that’s about all I can take right now. I’m getting around with a cane and often forget to take it with me! I think because I limped for so long before the surgery that I’m used to that feeling, so I move around the house forgetting my cane. Walking with the cane does help though.
I finished two books, A Life Gone Awry: My Story of the Elan School and They Came with the Snow. Look up the Elan School if you’ve never heard of it. Yikes. The second book was an awesome little short story.
If we were having coffee I’d tell you how I’m losing track of what day it is since I’ve been off. We woke up early Saturday morning and I asked Bill if he was going to work. “It’s Saturday.” “Oh, yeah.”
The rain has washed away all our snow and revealed all the leaves in the yard that did not get picked up in the fall. Grrrr.. I hate late winter/early spring before I get a chance to clean up. I can’t wait to be back to normal so I can get started cleaning up yard debris. Soon my crocuses (croci?) will poke through the earth and come to think of it, I should probably start my seedlings pretty soon. Tractor Supply has a huge variety of seeds and pods to get them started. I plan to double my garden size this year now that I have the netting to keep the darn squirrels from destroying everything I plant. Mmmmm, fresh basil again! I can’t wait. Below is one of my stock images from my garden last year.
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you how happy I was to hear that spring forward for daylight savings time is two weeks away, March 11th! I can’t wait for Spring. The vernal equinox is March 20th and I hope the weather cooperates to have a campfire.
How was your week? More coffee?

I have basil outside all year, but do remember the joy of crocus sighting as a child in Pennsylvania. Maybe the short intense growing season makes each plant all the more exciting. Do take the PT seriously ..many people try to cheat, but end up cheating their own well being. Best of luck with it, and thanks for coffee.
Thank you, I plan to stick with whatever routine I’m given. I don’t want to mess this up. How nice to have basil year round! I’m really looking forward to gardening this year. Thanks for reading!
