Good Morning! Though it’s not the first flakes of the year, it’s now supposedly our first accumulation. 2″ – 4″ on it’s way to Metro Detroit today, and into this evening. Come on in out of this slushy mess! Brrr..
How are you? There is a full pot of regular coffee and I also have hazelnut, salted caramel and creme brulee. Grab a seat!
I missed you all last weekend – I thought my blog was going to be moved to another site so I held off posting for a few days, but things did not go as planned. I am behind on Nano Poblano as well as work has consumed much of the past two weeks. However, I got some news on Friday, right at the end of the day, that has taken quite a load off my mind – several of my assignments that have to be completed by 12/31 will be reassigned to another team member that happens to have capacity. I really thought I’d be working every spare minute of every day to get all of this done. I literally jumped for joy after that meeting! Such a relief.
Our snowmobile trip plan to head out to South Dakota is likely scrapped as the place we planned to stay has a no cancellation policy between Christmas and NYE. Meaning if we book our room and they don’t have decent snow when the time comes – we are out quite a bit. Or we just pulled the snowmobiles 1300 miles to not ride them. So. We don’t yet have a plan B, but it may be Michigan’s upper peninsula, which has some pretty decent riding as well.
Luckily, I got most of the leaves cleaned up before our snowfall today. We also transplanted the blackberry bush, which I HOPE makes it. It was in the corner of the yard, very close to the fence we are having replaced. So it had to go, plus the new fence will shade it quite a bit. It’s now in its new home next to the garden.
It’s Thanksgiving week! We will celebrate just the two of us and do a Zoom call with our family over the weekend. We are spread out over the miles anyway so we hardly ever get together. Whatever it is you’re doing, have a safe and happy holiday!
I do have some work I need to catch up on today so I must be going. I look forward to catching up with you all!
Great news about your assignments, that must be a pleasant relief! I’m sorry your snowmobile trip will likely be cancelled though. It’s an awful time for travelling or making plans this year 😦
Wishing you a very happy Thanksgiving week!!
Caz xx
Yes, I was so happy to receive this news! I am bummed about our trip, but not surprised. I figured COVID would throw a wrench into our plans even if not for the cancellation risk.
I love a work place that understands that workers can’t do everything and makes sure to spread the work around! Sorry about not being able to do the trip. I know how it is when you might lose a deposit.
I just bought a single-serve Keurig for my writing space so maybe I’ll pop into a weekend coffee share again one of these days. I posted one blog last week and two this week. Muse seems to be back for a while.

Yes, for that I am grateful! Ooh, a Keurig for your writing space! That is awesome.. We’d love to have you for coffee! So glad to have you back!
So glad there’s some leeway at work now. Phew! Nice to share a moment with you. 🙂
Yes, I feel so much better.. Thanks Ra, likewise.. 🙂
ah – having unexpected bandwidth from having work reassigned must feel like a huge breath of fresh air. Good for you Kathleen. We’ve all been there and yes, it’s a time to celebrate, if by nothing else, just sitting back for a few minutes and letting your mind unwind some of that tension we all live with.
Thank you Gary! It’s a huge relief. Not only was it a lot of work, it was on topics I’m not even familiar with so there would have been a learning curve thrown in with the deadline. I was close to panicking.
Looking at the Crystal Lake mug in the cover and cant help think of a Friday the 13th movie hahaha
here’s to the next big snow hmmm wait thats big wave and you say that to surfers right, again movie logic haha
Just like I know Thanksgiving is coming up this Thursday, we dont have that holiday here all the best

Haha yes, it’s a Friday the 13th mug! Halloween all year round for me.. Not that that was a Halloween movie.. Thank you so much for stopping by!
We went from 8 inches of snow last week to 50 degrees today! Glad to hear that work has eased up a bit, especially around Christmas time!

Nice! We’ll have 50 degrees today and sunny! Snow coming Monday – Tuesday, probably only 4 inches..
