Good morning and come on in on this chilly St. Patrick’s Day!  I knew this theme sounded familiar, and lo and behold, we had a coffee share on this day last year.

Unfortunately, I don’t have any Irish Creme on hand to offer you in your coffee, in fact, I’ll be partaking in a healthy Shamrock Shake later today, using a vanilla protein shake base. I may have mentioned during a recent coffee share that I joined a weight loss challenge at work – I am thrilled to report I am down 9 pounds! FitBit and iTrackBites have been my best friends.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you I have an extremely busy week ahead – we are training the use of a new application for which I’ve written procedures for several departments.  Lots and lots of development, questions, tracking, timing, checking and rechecking.  The first classes were last Friday and went off without a hitch, except for one small revision in one of the procedures. I pray next week goes as smooth!

The talk at work has been the anticipation of our new flexible work arrangement, that goes into effect April 1st. Everyone has been buzzing with excitement – it seems like an eternity since the concept was first announced and when our department would be able to participate. It will be an adjustment, but I’m soooo ready.  We were asked to clear out our cubicles last week in preparation for our launch and I never thought I’d be so happy to do so. Carrying everything with me will be an adjustment but it’s also a lesson in minimalism, something I’m also trying to implement in my personal life.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that I’m anxious to what the trans shop will tell me. My truck is currently up on a hoist as we speak and will have the trans pulled on Monday to determine where a leak is coming from. I’ve been driving Bill’s truck to work (huge in comparison to my SUV) and he’s been driving our newly purchased “ranch vehicle” we plan to use out in South Dakota. I’m thankful for the timing of this purchase and keeping my fingers crossed the repair won’t be a major one.

A stop at the gym and the Red Cross for my obligatory pint donation and I’ll probably dig back into my project plan to go over everything again.  I can’t wait until next week’s coffee share when I can breathe a sigh of relief and tell you everything went perfectly!

How about you?

    1. Yes, I’ve had a countdown app on my phone since November when we heard our transition window was April – June. LOL I’ve been ready for remote work for 20 years. Hope everything about your move goes smoothly!

  2. So awesome to have coffee with you again Kathleen! and all the good stuff going on, with your new arrangements at work. That is so cool. I hope your truck is an easy fix. Thanks for the delicious coffee!

  3. I would love to work from home sometimes. I hope that goes well for you. Minimalism is something I’ve been working on since about 2005. I have very few “things” these days. I hope that goes well for you, too. It lightens you up, physically and psychologically!

    Enjoy the shake!
