Hello again my dear coffee share blogger friends! How was your week? Come on in, the Keurig is still on. Pick a pod, any pod.
Believe it or not, we’ve seen the sun and blue sky a few days this week! Pretty rare during Michigan winters. We’re 9 days into February and I hope it’s not as long as January was! And we’re blessed with an extra day this year! Ugh.
Thank you for all the well wishes at our last coffee share, but the new position I applied for did not pan out. It’s all good, though, I may have opportunity in that area to gain some experience, so we’ll see. And! The potentially pushed back project deadline we have did not push back so now we’re back in scrambling mode. Loving this rollercoaster ride! Keep us on our toes.
On Wednesday I met a dear friend for our very belated Christmas dinner meet up. Check out the gift wrap! Hahaha.
It was an awesome woven throw! (Taken later in my dining room, of course, I didn’t spread this out on the floor of the restaurant. 🙂 ) It’s the gift that keeps on giving! Two of the things I love the most.. <3
It was a pretty standard week except last Sunday we did in fact check out the Lower Huron Metropark! We drove through, stopped a few places and explored and went on a short hike. I’ve got a blog post in the works. In short, I was tickled to find the Canoe/Kayak launch! Definitely the highlight of the day!
Today I will see if I can hornswaggle Bill into checking out another park. Always so much to cram into the weekend!

Nice! Now that we have new kayaks, Ken and I are always on the lookout for launches too. Every time we go over a bridge, we’re like “How steep does that look? Can we get down there?” Luckily, there’s a Facebook group here that lists local launches:-)

Ha! That’s what I do! I’m so happy to have this metropark pass! The Huron River runs through most of them. Lots of places to explore.
