I’m feeling better, but Thursday I woke up with a pretty bad sore throat, the kind that is painful to swallow. Fun stuff. Just in time to ruin my Friday plans for an event with my sister, who was passing through, and some extended family. But, crud is crud and I didn’t want to meet up with people knowing I had some kind of bug. Luckily it was short lived, but just long enough to screw up a visit I was really looking forward to.
So! Our snow arrived overnight! I meant to get my errands done yesterday and failed to do so, so off I go later today. Hopefully it won’t be too slippery out. I’ve been getting a giggle out of Waze, which I found connects to the navigation screen in my new car. I changed the car icon to a motorcycle and the narration to The Terminator. For grins, Bill and I navigated ourselves to a familiar destination and Arnold confirmed it with “You’ve reached your destination. Hasta la vista, baby.”
I’m tickled to share that I recently attended a Friends of the Library meeting for my little town and we will be starting up a Silent Book Club chapter! It’s like an introvert happy hour. You come, chat with other bookworms, and then we all read for a set period of time. There is also a Book Club Meet and Greet at a used bookstore I’ve been dying to check out in a neighboring town. My hip prohibited that field trip when I first found it, but I’m about 98% now, so I’ll go later today and check that out.
Other than that, I see the surgeon this week and I’m sure I’ll be cleared to go back to work. My hip is still a tad weak, but I’m back up and around. I hope you’ve had a great week and I look forward to stopping by your corners of the world.

Your name for your coffee machine “Katie” made me chuckle. There’s a few little things that really bring levity in a neat way. I’m happy for your new book club and good luck on your excursion later today. I hope your hip keeps getting stronger and stronger and you can enjoy all the things (and more) that you couldn’t before!

You named your Keurig? How cute! Yes, I get it. The book clubs sound like fun activities. The crud has been going around our area, lots of people sick. I hope I continue to dodge it. There are other navigation narrators besides that women voice? LOL! How fun! #Weekendcoffeeshare
Haha, we name everything! Our cars, bikes, sleds, trailers. I hope you dodge the crud too! I have some lingering congestion but that is all. YES! Go into your Waze settings, there are several different voices to choose from!
