Well, the daisies have started arriving! Along with the day lilies.
We’ve had several newcomers in the last week and Garden Answers has helped a great deal in figuring out what I’ve got going on in my wildflower garden. We also cut a few paths through the wilderness and put down some stepping stones, so we can tiptoe through the tulips and get a closer look.
This guy and his relatives are all over, including the grass. It’s Small Hop Clover and a common farm and garden weed.
These are Cosmos, and I hope we get more of them!
Bachelor Buttons! I guess they are popular in boutonnieres. Love the dark bluish purple.
These are Bladder Campions which are creepily also known as grave flowers or flowers of the dead as they are commonly seen growing around grave stones. Creepy!
Well, less than an hour until the sun sets on the longest day of the year. Time to get ready for the Summer Solstice Campfire!
