I love this phrase. It’s so true.
It keeps me going as I pull my hair out and remind myself that everything works out in the end, and delays are sometimes blessings. And sometimes you just can’t make this shit up. It hasn’t really been a bad day, or even a string of bad days, just a series of events, one after another over a course of weeks, that’s kept my blood pressure up, if for no other reason. And it’s driving me crazy.
It just boggles my mind how something you plan for, stay on top of, keep track of, follow up on, allow yourself plenty of time for, never works out seamlessly and you end up stressing out and scrambling at the last minute, doing exactly what you made an effort NOT to do (scrambling at the last minute) in the first place. It’s like God sees your plans, chuckles to himself and decides to see just how dedicated you are. “Oh, really? Let’s see how you handle….. THIS!” He definitely has a sense of humor.
So I’ve been trying not to give it too much “air time” as they say. Focusing on your problems just keeps them active in your experience. It happens, let it go. Keep your focus on the end result and all its awesomeness. We will look back on this and laugh. But once the ride really got interesting, I had to capture all the twists and turns.
I’m working on something I can’t share with you just yet, but soon the cat will be released from the bag. The cat, along with all the hairballs.
How about you? I know there are some great stories out there. Share with us in the comments!
