Nano Poblano 2020

jalapeno and hungarian wax peppers

Welcome November! It’s been a peppery kind of year.. My beloved weekend coffee share blogger friends are likely very tired of hearing about my pepper garden and how I thought I ruined the plants by putting them in too early. (Sorry, folks!) I did however, get a small harvest and was able to pick a few handfuls of tiny peppers throughout the summer. I did bell peppers, hungarian wax and jalapeno.

On the topic of peppers, when talks of Nano Poblano started, I knew I wanted to give it another go. Similar to NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) and NaBloPoMo (National Blog Posting Month) Nano Poblano has some additional options. Check out their page for more info!

So here is my inaugural post to kick things off for November 1st, and to celebrate, tonight I’m trying out a new recipe for Stuffed Poblano Peppers!  This may just become a tradition on opening day of Nano Poblano.

Fellow cheer peppers, I’m excited about this journey with you. Potential cheer peppers, we’d love to have you join us!  The roster is open until November 2nd. And join us on Facebook, too!

    1. Good Morning! Will do, I can’t wait to make them. I had them once at On the Border Cantina, and they were wonderful! I figured it was appropriate.. 🙂

    1. Hi! They were great! I was telling Alex, I also harvested the seeds so hopefully I can grow my own next year.. Also, I changed up the recipe a bit and put a layer of jalepeno cream cheese in the peppers! OMG.. Heaven!

    1. Many of my Hungarian Wax are still green. Or some have gone from green to red. I’ll have to look into it. They’re on my kitchen windowsill now, I hope they ripen and turn yellow. And, your comment is timely! I’ve just seen talks today about Nano Poblano 2022!
